FACES OF INDIA

As a former lawyer, working both in the UN and The Supreme Court of India, I have always been incredibly passionate about helping those who are oftentimes and sadly not heard and not seen. In a country that continues to battle between tradition and modernity, I wanted to highlight the status of gay and women's rights - two groups in our society that have suffered more than most.

Faces of India is a celebration of the rich colors, patterns, and designs that echo throughout my country with the subject matters being the local women, men, and children. It captures the fundamental human emotions of their everyday life such as the elated feelings of those who were once marginalized for the sexual preferences to the loving bond between a mother and child, and the need to support and provide for one's family.

The vibrancy of the colors brings me a great sense of hope and joy. I hope they bring the same to you.
